Dow-Key Microwave has been one of the world's largest manufactures of electromechanical switches for RF & Microwave applications since 1945. Spectrum Operations | Advanced RF signal solutions

MPG’s Spectrum Operations Line features our Espy brand of wideband RF signals search, survey, discovery and geolocation solutions. Our AI/ML technologies cater to optimize overall system and software performance and are very well-suited for a variety of spectrum monitoring and enforcement applications that our critical to global defense and security.

K&L Microwave was acquired by Dover Corporation in 1983 and became the founding filter brand within MPG, setting a high standard for quality and customer service. In 1996, Dow-Key Microwave joined as a switch partner, creating a complementary duo that could meet the needs of RF & Microwave customers seeking dependable, high-quality products for system-critical applications. This successful partnership led to the establishment of Microwave Products Group (MPG) in November 2005 as part of Dover Engineered Products.

As defense and military technology advanced, so did the need for more integrated equipment and subsystems. In 2007, Pole/Zero was strategically added to MPG’s portfolio, introducing Tunable Filters and Integrated Cosite Equipment subsystems, which opened new market opportunities. Recognizing the growing importance of global markets, MPG acquired BSC Filters in 2010, a UK-based leader in filters and diplexers, further enhancing its product offerings and global reach.

MPG continued to strengthen its technological leadership with the acquisition of Espy in 2021. Espy’s advanced AI/ML capabilities bolstered MPG’s offerings in signal intelligence and spectrum operations, responding to the increasing demand for sophisticated RF detection and spectrum analysis solutions.

In the fall of 2024, Criteria Labs the latest addition to MPG. This acquisition marked a significant step in expanding MPG’s microelectronics capabilities. Criteria Labs, known for its expertise in high-reliability semiconductor packaging, custom assembly, and comprehensive test services, provides critical solutions for aerospace, defense, and commercial applications. With Criteria Labs, MPG can now deliver even more integrated and reliable solutions, meeting the rising demands for mission-critical performance in RF and Microwave systems.

The evolution of these strategic acquisitions has created extraordinary opportunities for cross-selling and co-development. This collaboration across MPG’s brands has led to the development of MPG Solutions®, a unified platform that integrates the industry’s best, most reliable technologies.
