September 15, 2021 – Microwave Products Group (“MPG”) an operating company of Dover Corporation (“Dover”), has completed the acquisition of The Espy Corporation (“Espy”).

Espy is a provider of commercial radio (RF) monitoring, direction finding, Theater Net-Centric Geolocation (TNG) capable sensors and analysis software. Optimized to support search, survey, geolocation, discovery, and analysis of new transmitters in the RF spectrum, these sensors and GUIs are especially well suited to spectrum monitoring and enforcement operations, with applications in various industries. Ease of use, quality, value, and maintainability are cornerstones of Espy’s offerings.

Espy, the latest edition to MPG, within Dover’s Engineered Products segment, will continue operating from its Austin, TX location.  Espy’s CEO, Mark Smith, enthusiastically remarked, “Espy is very excited to become a part of MPG. Like Espy, MPG is a technology-driven organization, known for producing quality products, excellent customer service, and a welcoming corporate culture. In fact, all people from Dover and MPG that I have met, and worked with, are outstanding! I am confident that Espy and its employees will have an even brighter and more promising future being a contributing part of MPG.”

The acquisition of Espy expands MPG’s capability in signal processing as demand intensifies for next-generation spectrum monitoring solutions. MPG’s core focus on hardware to protect and clear signals fits well with Espy’s expertise in collecting and analyzing signal data.

MPG’s President, Ron Ruppersburg, stated, “Espy’s augmented AI & ML capable systems, combined with MPGs heritage in advanced RF Spectrum conditioning hardware, designed to complement sensors in the ever increasingly congested microwave spectrum, promises to enhance capabilities to our combined customer base in the security and defense sectors. This will allow both organizations to serve signal intelligence markets, while meeting the most demanding communications requirements. I look forward to what our combined engineering teams will deliver.”
